Friends of the Rouge want to recruit volunteers to ID the sounds of eight frog and toad species to monitor the health of the area's wetlands.

Several times each summer, Iowans drive set routes at night and turn a discerning ear to the 16 unique frog and toad songs that can be heard in Iowa.
