I spotted this bull Monday morning in Estes. This is called a club antlered bull elk. While antlers can vary a lot, sometimes bulls end up with unusual or “non-typical” antlers like this guy. That can happen if they injure the base where their antlers grow or damage their velvet while they’re still growing. If you look closely, you can see two bluebirds fly by.
