Always something! This rattler had a bad attitude and put itself in a dangerous situation. Most likely confusion played a big part but once I saw him striking at my dogs in their kennel I wasn’t taking any chances. There were plenty of safe paths away from my dogs, into thick vegetation, from the area I suspect the snake to have came from.
