One of the best things that happened in my career was taking a fat 40% pay cut away from consulting. Everyone including my momma thought I was insane for going “backwards” but it helped me tap into the work I actually wanted to do — the people stuff. So that’s my message for you today. Don’t be afraid to go against the status quo and do what is best for YOU.
