On this day 113 years ago, on April 18, 1912, RMS Carpathia arrived in New York and delivered the only physical remains of the Titanic: her lifeboats. After the Carpathia docked at White Star’s Pier 59 around 8:37 PM, the crew first offloaded the 13 lifeboats that had been retrieved during the rescue.
