At our awards ceremony we also celebrate long service. Under a Royal Warrant, members of the uniformed service are entitled to be awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal after completing 20 years of service to the Fire and Rescue Service and the public. As the medal is issued by Her Majesty the Queen, it requires a representative of the Queen to present it.
